Are journalists biased against politicians? Rex Smith, editor of the Times-Union in Albany, New York, on Saturday published a thoughtful column that puts the media-public servant relationship into perspective. While he accurately points out there's high profile examples of those who give the industry a bad name, it's unfair -- and at the same time understandable -- that journalists and reporters slap an "untrustworthy" label on all public servants. The column is personal, fair and should give everyone that reads it pause on how we view those elected to serve.
