We came together today as a group of legislative staff from the smaller states to draft a prescription for legislative staff 20 years into the future. In part because we are a mysterious and secretive group and we would like our readers to come back for more, we regretfully select to limit the information we will share at this time.
But we will reveal that we spent lots of time talking about partisanship and its impact on our jobs and the legislature as an institution. It is curious that we invested a significant portion of our day together to speak on this subject matter since all of us in the group are non-partisan staff.
