State Representative Larry Rappaport

In New Hampshire, State Representatives are paid $100 per year. They are also paid gas mileage at the IRS rate. The legislature consists of 400 Representatives and 24 Senators. They pay no road tolls and get a license plate identifying them as to their role in state government. This essentially makes them volunteers.
